I Just Quit Smoking 8 Days Ago..how Long Will It Be Until I Stop Thinking About Smoking?

Friday, September 25th, 2009

I quit smoking 8 days ago, (and plan to stay that way for ever). The cravings are not as bad and I am eating healthy and exercising at the same time, (and drinking lots of water). BUT I THINK ABOUT CIGARETTES AND SMOKING A LOT, it’s bothering me because I don’t want to have to think about cigarettes and smoking the rest of my life. How long will it be until I “think normal” again? and stop associating certain activities with smoking? Every once in a while I wish I could get some type of support, is there a good free online blog for quitters? or some type of ANYTHING I can use for reminders to keep going , and just support, if you know of anything, let me know. Thank you.

Losing Weight Using HCG

Friday, September 25th, 2009

HCG is a hormone (human chorionic gonadotropin) that is naturally produced in the body. It has many functions and is used medically to treat a variety of conditions.

This hormone is created during a woman’s pregnancy. During the pregnancy, the levels of the HCG double every two days. The hormone’s main purpose is to mobilize fat and use it for energy for both mother and fetus. This automatic reaction gives the body energy immediately.

When the HCG is used in small amounts for dieting, there seems to be no side effects detected. In fact, all women experience very high levels of HCG during their pregnancy.

Only small amounts of HCG are used for weight loss, using the same theory of the fat being used for energy. The stored fat in the body is triggered for energy by using HCG and a low calorie diet. You will have to create a starvation state using HCG for weight loss to occur. This will cause the body to mobilize fat for utilization by the body.

You can lose weight by simply eating fewer calories, but because the body stores fat during times of deprivation, you will most likely lose muscle and bone before fat. This causes cellular metabolism to slow down, so in the long run, it would make gaining weight easier, as well as decrease bone density and muscle mass.

By using HCG with the low calorie diet, extra fat is mobilized for energy and the rest is eliminated; the low calorie diet is vital in preventing immediate refilling of emptied fat cells. You benefit by preferentially getting rid of excess fat without affecting your bone and muscle.

HCG has been said to reprogram the body to use stored fat for energy when calorie intake is reduced for a period of time. This allows you to maintain your new weight and not regain the pounds that you have lost. HCG has been said to be “The Weight Loss Cure”.

Most people who have a problem with unwanted hair of tried and many different options available today. Shaving while a fairly effective traditional method is not only time-consuming it can also be embarrassing. No one likes to have razor burn or bumps showing particularly in those sensitive areas. The other popular option is waxing. That is not only very painful you also have to go back in and repeat the process quite often. All these reasons is why people welcome laser hair removal which is one of the only semi-permanent to permanent methods of hair removal.

One of the biggest myths about laser hair removal is that it is painful. It is not hard to understand since you do indeed have a laser burning your hair’s root under the skin. But the technology is developed in a way that passes through the skin and targets the melanin in the hair follicle. Really the only thing that could be called painful in the laser hair removal process is the price. It can be quite expensive for most since you have to pay for several sessions but if you think of it as an investment in your happiness it isn’t that bad. You may have to pay more now than you would for waxing or shaving but since it lasts usually for years to come you may end up saving money.

For the actual procedure itself is fairly short depending on the area being treated. A small area like the forearms or mustache area might only take one or two minutes but a large area like the back can take up to 20 or more. You have to go back in several treatments usually depending on the doctor and how well the procedure went. Usually does anywhere from three to four and possibly more trips. But it’s really not that bad considering that a life time of grief can be treated in a fairly short time.

Some people might be under the impression that laser hair removal is just for women but that simply isn’t true. In fact it is the most requested cosmetic procedure for men. But before you decide anything you need to ask any questions that you might have with your doctor. Almost all will make you have a consultation before they will book anything for you and that is the perfect time to ask your questions.

Hopefully if you’ve been following along in this article you will have learned the basics of laser hair removal and will be able to make an informed decision. As with any medical procedure make sure that you know about all the different risks associated with it. The easiest way to do this is ask your doctor about them.

Mesothelioma Patients and The Law

Friday, September 25th, 2009

Depending on your choice of a legal counsel for a mesothelioma lawsuit the case can be a huge success or give out negligible compensation to the aggrieved parties.

When a particular legal counsel rejects a case, definitely somebody can take over and realize some form of rewards within a very short span of time though some other cases take a longer period to settle to benefit the relevant parties. A patient?s position as well as the competency of the law firm selected contributes to the outcome of the case.

To get a just decision from a lawsuit, the plaintiff has to show convincing evidences in court that the patient has been subjected to asbestos exposures for a long time. The problem is, many do not know how long they have exposed to the asbestos particles or when it occurred as significant length of time might have lapsed by the time the diagnosis has been held. Also, there are many items that contain asbestos substances to include hair dryers, brakes, roofing, pipes, boilers, insulation and others that people come in contact with at home or at their work stations.

If a patient intends to pursue a lawsuit that must be done within a very short span of time from the diagnoses time as there are legal impediments to delayed filings. The time element generally hinges on the patient?s condition and normally starts with the time that actual diagnosis is positive. However, enormous financial pressure that comes with the actual detection can be cushioned with the hope of just compensation from the lawsuit. Moreover, prestigious legal counsels are more often prepared with quality qualifications that can assist the patient well.

The most essential consideration is when picking out a suitable lawyers. Their educational program and dependability are the primary aspects to look into. Their past records with mesothelioma cases must be scrutinized to determine whether their participation in these kinds of cases is their main line of expertise. If they have handled similar cases, the gained exposure gives them a lead in handling the case from the start.

Why Can’t People Quit Smoking/other Addictions?

Friday, September 25th, 2009

OK I am not perfect in the least, far from it, But i personally beleive quitting something is easiest things in the entire world.
I firmly beleive that if you cannot overcome and addiction from sheer brainpower then you are a bad human being.
My gf smokes and shes trying to quit for me but i tell her she cant, it wont ever work, she says she really wants to quit but i cant beleive her because i think if you really wanted something bad enough it wouldnt matter that your addicted to something.
idk if its pessimistic or what but in my brain, if i needed to stop smoking it would be that simple
how do you quit smoking? simple DONT SMOKE ANYMORE CIGARETTES
I dont understand it, perhaps its just my own philosphy but i would bet my life that i could smoke 5 packs of cigs, shoot up heroin crack and crystal meth and the next day when offered any of it I would just say no thanks. I beleive it is impossible for me to become addicted to something.
