I Want To Quit Smoking…?

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

I have smoked now for 7 years. I can hardly believe it. Seemed like yesterday I was yelling at my mom for smoking, saying I would never be that disgusting, and here I am 7 years later, love smoking but want to quit. I have health issues, and on top of that it’s just a horrible habit. There is not one thing beneficial from smoking… right? Here’s the deal. I’ve quit before, and when I say quit, I mean, I told people I quit, literally maybe stopped smoking for a few days, then would sneak one here and there, and never officially quit. Now I am still at a 1/2 pack a day. My fiancé and I are both wanting to quit for health reasons, but I love smoking and part of me is not ready. I get real defensive when he starts talking about quitting…
I need some suggestions. Has anyone had success on the Commits throat lozenges? I’ve heard orange juice and cream of tarter help cleanse your body… I smoke mostly out of boredom, when I wake up, after eating and driving… Gum? Suckers? Toothpicks?

Natural Remedies For Chrons Disease

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

There are 2 million cases of Crohn’s disease diagnosed in North America and 95,000 in the United Kingdom. It is thought to be related to an auto-immune response by some scientists while others think it is a low stomach acid response but the causes and cures remain unknown. The joints and eyes can also be affected by this disease in addition to the alimentary canal.

A flare up of symptoms can occur after months of an individual having been symptom free. It is essential to understand your flare up triggers in order to avoid them and these triggers can vary between individuals. To circumvent taking medications or because medications are unaffordable, many Crohn’s disease sufferers use natural remedies. Natural remedies help the natural healing processes of the body and may reduce chances of relapses.

Proper diets are critical for successful natural treatments. Yeast, wheat and milk should be avoided as this can bring relief to many sufferers of this disease. Research shows that proper intakes of Omega-6 fatty acids (sesame seed, corn oil) and Omega-3 fatty acids (Flaxseed oil, oily fish such as trout and salmon) lessens the risk of developing Crohn’s disease and improve chances of attaining remission.

A well balanced oil which contains Omega-3, 6, and 9, is Hemp oil – its anti-inflammatory properties impact positively on inflammatory processes if taken daily (initially one teaspoon, steadily increasing to one tablespoon). Candida is another Crohn’s disease related problem – a fungal overgrowth caused by destruction of the good bacteria in the digestive tract through use of steroids and antibiotics. Usually occurring as harmless yeast in the bowel, an overgrowth of Candida can spread in the blood and cause low energy levels in those with compromised immune systems.

The natural remedies, Wormwood and Zell Oxygen, are helpful for those with Crohn’s disease and candida infections. If an individual is in remission, a diet, high in natural fiber should be taken and for those experiencing symptoms, a low residue, low fat diet is recommended. Proper nutrients promote self healing in the body and are important in helping the intestines recover from inflammatory responses.

Intestines with less or no inflammatory responses are better able to absorb and process nutrients, the risk of obstructions, fistulas and ulcers is lowered and cramping, pain or diarrhea is controlled. A nutritious and well-balanced diet is extremely important to stick to. If you are a sufferer from Crohn’s disease or other inflammatory bowel diseases and want to stay healthy you should avoid processed and high fat foods, caffeine and milk.

Life Insurance Shopping For The First-Time Buyer

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

Life insurance can be categorized as either “whole life insurance” or “term life insurance”. Essentially, the difference is that whole life insurance is designed to provide coverage for the duration of policyholder’s life while term life insurance provides life for a specified period of the policyholder’s life.

In addition to providing coverage for a lifetime (or until the policyholder reaches 100), whole life insurance also builds up cash value over time. Coverage remains in effect for the policyholder as long as premiums continue to be paid.

Certain benefits are available to whole life insurance policyholders including fixed premiums over the life of the policyholder versus increasing premiums resulting from term life insurance policies. In addition, whole life insurance carries a guaranteed cash value. However, policyholders must maintain current premiums for both whole life and term life insurance to obtain the respective benefits.

Whole life insurance is a good option to consider for individual long range financial planning. Whole life insurance brings security of permanent lifetime insurance protection coupled with the ability to cancel or surrender the policy at any time for cash. In addition, there are tax advantages to whole life insurance allowing policyholders to save money overtime on a tax deferred basis.

With certain whole-life insurance policies, there is the possibility of gaining more cash value than what the company guarantees that you will receive. You are able to get loans to borrow from this amount. However, the guaranteed cash value depends on the life insurance market as a whole as well as your own interest rates. The company’s future financial ups and downs may also affect the amount of guaranteed cash value. However, variable life insurance policies lack a guarantee at all, making whole-life policies generally safer. Advocates of whole-life policies suggest that you insure that your rates can compete well with your other investments.

The last attractive basic feature of whole life insurance one should consider, arguably the most valuable, is the opportunity to earn dividends. The dividends are set based on the overall return on its investments for the insurance company. While universal life insurance is often adjusted monthly, interest on whole life policy is adjusted annually.

Now, as a final caution… this may seem silly, but don’t buy whole life insurance unless you can afford to pay it off for your whole life! Buying a long term policy and then letting it expire is a complete waste of everyone’s time and money. Since life insurance prices are best in your youth, try to buy the policies you want to hold out through your lifetime when you’re young. If you can’t afford whole life insurance right away, you should at least get term to tide you over until you can afford whole. The premiums involved in whole life insurance policies may seem steep, but they’re high because they are a one hundred percent promise of paying out in the end if you don’t let it expire. You can never decrease your payments with whole life, but it’s worth it for the unmatchable sense of security it provides.

Things To Consider In Relation To Hair Replacement

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

There are a number of different choices available if you are interested in hair replacement. You can utilize natural hair replacement treatments or medical treatments. The sort of hair replacement you use will depend on how you are losing your hair and the amount of money you can budget for the hair replacement treatment.

A natural hair replacement treatment is to massage Saw Palmetto extract into your scalp. This extract will stop the chemical DHT that can produce hair loss. Making sure you have plenty of vitamins and nutrients specifically folic acid, biotin and Inositol may hinder hair loss as a deficiency in any of the nutrients causes hair loss. You can also take zinc, Vitamin B12 and iron to help regrow your hair.

One such hair replacement treatment that is incredibly famous is Rogaine. Rogaine doesn’t actually stop hair loss or help you regrow hair. What it does is to extend the life of the hair that you have. Rogaine is only successful with about 50% of its users and you might have more success if you pair it with other natural treatments. A drug that works much like Saw Palmetto extract is finasteride. This drug controls the manufacture of the testosterone that can cause hair loss and causes male pattern baldness.

Further kinds of hair replacement include quite a lot of types of grafting surgery. The newest kind works by taking small strips of hair off the back of your head and then grafting it to the spots that do not have a lot of hair. There are several different types of grafting you can chose from for instance single hair grafting, linear slot grafting, slit grafting, follicular units and mini-slot grafting. The most up-to-date form of hair grafting produces extremely natural results.

There are also other products that make the hair you have look fuller. One such product is electrostatic fibers made of keratin and wool. These charged fibers will bind to your hair and stay in place through the entire day. Your hair will look fuller and you do not need to take any medication or go through surgery.

A further option is hair powder that is used to coat hair so that it seems thicker. You also will end up coloring your scalp the same color as your hair so it actually can mimic a hairline. There are also many sprays that can thicken your hair. It adds texture and volume to your remaining hair. Your hair will appear a great deal fuller and two good products include Fullmore and ProTHIK.

The up-to-the-minute forms of hair replacement today, mainly grafting, provide the most natural looking hair replacement. Unlike hair plugs, grafting replaces your hair form the inside out. All the hair utilized is your own so your hair will all be matching. To decide what is the best treatment for your hair loss condition you ought to go through your options with your doctor or a specialist.
