Monday, October 12th, 2009

Have been a none smoker for a year now, at first really proud of myself, stopped smoking, felt great, did not over eat at first, but now can not stop eating the hunger is there all the time. Tried all the normal things, drinking water, long walks, even going to bed early, but wake up hungry in the night. Nothing medically wrong doc. assures me just self control needed, was able to quit smoking with self control, no aids at all just cold turkey, so why cannot do this with food.

Reasons To Stop Smoking Are Countless

Monday, October 12th, 2009

We all know that smoking not only damages us physically but emotionally, psychologically, and socially as well. These are the very reasons why the reasons to stop smoking are valid and need to be heeded as early as possible.
We all have our personal reasons to stop smoking. Some may already be experiencing the symptoms of the damage that smoking does to our physical health; some may be constantly ostracized by his or her own circle of friends; yet some may simply want to have an overall feeling of wellness.
Physical well-being is the number one reason to stop smoking
No matter how we look at it, countless studies have already proven that smoking can, indeed, kill, but why is it that people still find it hard to quit smoking even after learning about its dangers?
This is because smoking is a real addiction, and even if a large portion of the 400,000 Americans who die each year from smoking may have intended to give it up, most likely the addiction was too strong that they failed in their attempts.
One reason to stop smoking is that your likelihood of contracting a heart disease is cut in half. You will also be less likely to get sick of cancer of the throat or the mouth if the habit is discarded as early as possible.
This means that life expectancies will increase and people will live to their 80s or 90s if only smoking was eliminated for good. Now, isn’t that a good enough reason to stop smoking? Wouldn’t you want to enjoy the prime of your life, your retirement years, your grandchildren? It’s much better to watch them growing up rather than to spend the rest of your life hooked to a respirator.
Another appealing reason to stop smoking is social acceptance. These days, more and more establishments frown at smokers, and smoking becomes less of a pleasure when you’re constantly being asked to put out your cigarette or move to a less desirable spot.
Smokers at airports, for instance, are confined in a filthy, smoke-filled room while other passengers are free to roam the spacious air terminal grounds. Those in hospitals or schools have to get out of the building just to have their fill of nicotine.
A practical reason to stop smoking is that you’ll have more money to spend on more important things. This may seem insignificant to smokers, but if you stop and compute the amount of money you spend on a pack of cigarettes each day, and multiply that by 365 days, you’ll be surprised at what you could have saved instead of investing in such a hazardous habit.
We have a lot of reasons to stop smoking but we should also have a lot of ways to carry out smoking cessation. With the support of our friends and family members, quitting won’t have to be such a struggle. For more info see http://www.stopsmokingaidsguide.com/Hypnosis_To_Stop_Smoking on nicotine addiction.
If you’re still thinking of reasons to stop smoking, just think of your kids. They’re probably your best reason to have to stay in this world a little bit longer, don’t you think?

Should I Quit Smoking Now?

Monday, October 12th, 2009

READ THIS FIRST, before just posting, please. And no spam or flaming, I want real answers. I am a real guy out there somewhere, not just your current image of letters on your monitor of your computer.
I started smoking when I was 16 at the mall just to look cool and quickly became addicted. I smoked on and off for four years (I’m almost twenty now…) and sometimes I smoked very heavily. I’ve also smoked a lot of pot and done meth etc, a lot of drugs, (but I don’t do them now, I only smoke cigarettes occasionally) and what I’m wondering is, should I quit smoking? I mean, I know I should, but if I stop smoking now and start jogging (easy at first) and stay done with them, will it decrease the chance for lung cancer, empysema, etc, or is it permanent? And how do I even know if I have one of those diseases? Would I know or do I have to check? I don’t think I have anything wrong with me I feel fine…
Please give me some good facts from reliable websites, as I am trying to want to quit. (I know that sounds stupid…)

Portable Infrared Saunas And How They Heal

Monday, October 12th, 2009

Infrared ray saunas are finally available in an easy to use, affordable and portable unit. They have only been around for a few years but they have become the talk of the town since then.

All of this infrared ray sauna buzz is a direct result of two important and unique features of these portable saunas. First, they are portable, so you can take them everywhere you travel. All you need is a duffel bag, or anything really, as long as its roughly the size of a suitcase. Second, they are very efficient at what they do. The average person can burn as many calories sitting in their portable infrared sauna reading a magazine for 30 minutes that they can running 2-3 miles.

If you want joint and muscle pain relief then you only need to spend a little time in your portable sauna. Additionally, several scientists in the Czech Republic have shown that endorphins are released after a short 30 minute session. These endorphins further assist in pain relief as well as giving you that euphoric sensation that often comes after a good workout.

As a result of everyday living we accumulate toxins in our bodies. Experts are saying that we have over 400 new toxins today that didn’t even exist 45 years ago (Dr. Steve Nugent, 2003.) This is a trend that portable infrared saunas have been proven to be a major contributor in reversing this trend and removing many of the toxins in our bodies’ cells.

The list of toxins we are continually accumulating is long with things like chlorine or lead being high on the chart. Water molecules absorb these toxins and move throughout the body causing worsened blood flow and lessened energy. Infrared heat functions to break the water molecules apart. This frees the toxins and allows the body to remove them.

The human body is very compatible with infrared ray saunas. Water molecules vibrate at about 9400 micrometers which is where the sauna rays vibrate. Since we are roughly 60% percent water we are able to absorb the infrared heat very well. All the while we enjoy a comfortable and warm sauna environment.

These portable saunas really make it easy to slip away from the rough and tumble of your day and relax. The penetrating infrared rays really get at the internal organs and muscles and help to sooth them.

With so many health benefits, the ease of portability and a price tag of around only $300 for an entire spa, it is no wonder the portable infrared saunas are popular. What took so long for someone to come up with the idea?

What Makes Glytone Different?

Monday, October 12th, 2009

A skin care product is a skin care product is a skin care product. They’re all the same. They have the same effects on your skin. Oh, they all SAY that they’re unique, original, special, and better than the rest, but when it all comes down to it, they’re just the same old things that come in different packaging.

Or so you think. That’s probably just because you have had too much experience with different brands of skin care products that make all the promises in the world and yet fail to deliver on them. That means it is time for you to look at other skin care products apart from the ones you can buy in pharmacies or department stores and look at ones that are available from your dermatologist or physician. These are the ones that are usually overlooked because they’re not widely available on store shelves, but end up wowing people once they use these.

One of these brand names is Glytone, which is developed by Pierre Fabre Dermo-Cosm?tique. Glytone has made a name for itself with its liberal use of glycolic acid in its products. Glycolic acid is widely known for its powerful ability to penetrate the skin’s topmost layer and is now used widely in chemical peels, allowing it to work on the skin in order to shed the dead skin cells and unveil a fresher, younger new layer of skin underneath.

Glytone’s products have been carefully thought-out, researched, and developed in a scientific manner, with physicians and pharmacologists being heavily involved in the creation of each product. The scientists of Glytone take care to integrate the right amount of glycolic acid in the skin care products and work closely with physicians as well. In turn, the physicians make sure that patients who will be using Glytone for their skin care issues or those who will be undergoing treatment using glycolic acid clearly understand how such skin health systems work.

One of the best things about Glytone, apart from the effectiveness of its products and its dedication to true skin health, is the fact that it is not overly concerned with promotions or marketing itself–definitely something new when it comes to a beauty product. What Glytone prioritizes, first and foremost, is to create products that are truly effective and can be of great help to many patients. It also aims to maintain its scientific integrity and become a real leader and pioneer in skin care technology.

The Importance Of Creating The Perfect Mesothelioma Lawsuits

Monday, October 12th, 2009

Litigations are tricky affairs. More so are mesothelioma litigations. Some very cardinal reasons very often result in mesothelioma lawsuits losing out. Let us examine why and how such lawsuits fail and what should be done to counter them.

Mesothelioma cancer is an infection resulting from asbestos inhalation many years ago. It may take even fifty years for the cancer to assume alarming proportions and become noticeable. Another factor is that most the victims diagnosed of the disease recently got infected at a period when there were no laws existing regarding asbestos use. Preventive measures were not to be heard of. Also, the number of mesothelioma experts with the required experience is very less.

These three factors combine to make mesothelioma lawsuits prone to loopholes. As in any other case, the unscrupulous elements responsible for asbestos infection at the first place would never hesitate to wriggle out through these loopholes. Therefore, the patient and the lawyer have some very important homework to do before filing such a lawsuit. First of all, the plaintiff needs to appraise his lawyer about all details regarding the infection. As the saying goes, you should not hide any facts from your lawyer. Every documentary evidences regarding your work history and health aspects should be presented before the lawyer so that he can make a fool-proof case against the responsible entities.

It is also important that the complainant and his lawyer develop a rapport so that the can move forward smoothly. The lawyer should, in turn, be able to implant a sense of security in the mind of his client. It would be even better if the lawyer has practical experience and enough skill to take the mesothelioma lawsuit to a desirable decision.

Since the role of a lawyer is great in deciding the victory or failure of the client, he should be selected with utmost care. Finding such an appropriate lawyer is not difficult since there are many law firms exclusively dealing with mesothelioma cases. After considering the options available, the most desirable person should be entrusted with the work. Mesothelioma lawsuits should not drag for more than two years since most of the patients do not survive after that period. A negative outcome of such a lawsuit would act as a terrible blow to the patients and the victims who were already bearing the brunt of the terrible disease.
