I Want You To Stop Smoking…?

Hi everyone, I don’t know any of you, but I care enough, to let you know you can quit smoking if you really want to.
I smoked a pack and a half a day, for the past 9 years, then my wife (who doesn’t smoke, and I don’t smoke in the house) got pregnant, I realized I didn’t want to be one of those redneck fathers who smoke with their kids in the car. So I talked to my wifes OB/GYN and she wrote me a prescription for Chantix.
I’ve been smoke-free for 20 days now, and I feel great. Chantix, does have some side effect, i’ve only experienced two, naseau and vivid dreams, NOT nightmares.
Honestly I forgot to take my medicine this morning, and still have no desire to smoke.
This is not a self-serving post, its something I want to give you in an effort to make the choice.
Somethings I noticed since Janurary 10th..
1. I smell better.
2. I can taste food again.
3. I don’t cough
4. I don’t have to dictate my day around smoking
And more!! You can do it if you want too!

Yeah? Good for you. This is day 2 for me without cigs and I’m ready to rip off someone’s head. How long did it take before you no longer wanted to go to Iraq just for the fun of it?
I am taking Chantix… without it they’d probably still calling the SWAT team

I too, loved chantix. It is a miracle…however, I had severe chest pain that was associated with it (I’m the only one I know that has had the “rare” side effects) and had to stop smoking.
    That’s great for you! Congrats!

This site tells how long it takes for side affects and cravings to lessen. Also, it gives guidelines to how long it takes for your body to start functioning like that of a non smoker. Good luck to all who decide to quit, and to those who can’t quit right away, don’t give up, it’s possible.

or maybe you could have never tried smoking
