Travel Insurance Quota: Tips On How To Earn Double Your Present Salary

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

As a sales person selling insurance to travelers you will want to at least meet your allotted travel insurance quote if not exceed it. The best way to achieve your objectives is to follow whatever useful tips you are able to find that should hopefully point you in the direction that will help you earn considerable amount of money. Only those sales persons that know the art of making a sale will be in a position to earn double what they normally earn. In fact, one point of curiosity for each travel insurance salesman is whether they can through dint of hard work learn how to earn in six figures.

The first step that they will need to take in order to achieve their travel insurance quota is to learn how to get plenty of appointments with targeted clients and then be sure about how to close the deal. If you are determined to meet and even exceed your quota you must understand that there is a certain kind of psychology that has to be used in order to succeed in getting customers to buy your travel insurance plans.

Without a doubt, most sales persons that sell travel insurance are known to be more confused than clear about how to improve their selling abilities. Unless the fine art of salesmanship is mastered there is not much hope of achieving and exceeding quotas set by the management. This in turn means that you must be careful that you always let your client know how much you care for their well being and that you are not just a salesperson out to make a quick sale.

This means as a committed sales person you must ensure that you bring to the client all the promises that they have read about in the company brochures and also in the billboard advertisements. You should even consider selling your travel insurance policies in the same way that a fast food restaurant makes their hamburgers or to do the same things as are applicable when manufacturing widgets.

As a person with the job of selling travel insurance it is important that you do not succumb to the pressures that your seniors will be exerting on you to make more sales and that too in the shortest possible time.

There are fortunately many effective ways to increase your sales and so you have to look beyond simply handing your business cards to clients and ensuring that you are punctual in meeting with the client. These are obvious sales methods that will help you achieve a few minor successes but will not give you that six figure salary.

What you need to do is to do things in a way that you like and which helps in closing a deal. You should even use software that will help show you how to make more effective presentations and which helps to teach you how you can illustrate the benefits of the travel insurance policy that you are selling.

Once you get the hang of it, you should easily meet your travel insurance quota and also exceed it by a wide margin.

Make Your Life Easy With A Walk In Bathtub

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

To those with limited mobility, standard showers and bathtubs can be difficult and unsafe to use. This can make the once simple task of bathing frustrating and complicated. Frequently, showers don’t have the anti-slip protection and grab bars that are needed, or a seating area that can make the task easier. Walk in bathtubs, however, have all this and more, contributing to both safety and relaxation.

Increasingly, manufacturers are producing walk-in bathtubs with safety features that traditional showers miss. These easy to install, handicap accessible tubs include height-adjustable, easy-to-use faucets and shower heads and strategically located grab bars as well as many other amenities that can enhance comfort, safety and ease of bathing.

While handicap accessible showers feature a very low threshold or are even level with the floor for the ultimate accessibility, walk in tubs offer the flexibility of either taking a shower or enjoying a nice soak in warm water without worrying about how you will get in and out of the bath. Having the option for a bath is not just a luxury – soaking is therapeutic, easing bodily aches and pains. These baths usually come with a shower head that can be either hand-held or wall mounted and can be adjusted to the exact height for your needs.

A surprising number of different walk in bathtub models and styles are manufactured today. An inward or outward opening door set in the side of the tub is the primary feature that sets them apart from other tub types. This door allows for a much safer and easier entry and exit into the tub than traditional baths. Outward opening doors may be safer in some cases, as the door can be opened even when the tub is full if there is an emergency. However, inward-opening doors are usually preferable in that they require less room, and they are also self-sealing due to the water pressure when the bath is full.

A majority of the most popular models are termed as “sit-in” tubs and feature a chair-height seat that is easy to get in and out of. These are great for showering as well as bathing. Alternately, other models feature powered seats that can lower and lift you safely and easily in and out of a traditional height bath. This allows you to experience full-length bathing without the worry of slipping and falling. In addition to anti-slip surfaces and convenient grab bars for added safety, quite a few models also feature hydrotherapy jets, which have therapeutic properties that can aid further in easing achy joints and sore muscles.

These handicap accessible tubs are available in a wide variety of sizes to meet your needs and lifestyle. Shorter models can be found for a variety of hard to fit places, including bathtubs that are specifically made to take up the same amount of space as a standard shower stall. Long tubs are more spacious and similar to traditional bath sizes, giving you room to stretch out and relax.

Since being inside the tub is a necessity both while it fills and empties, walk in tubs have special features. The most important of these is a thermostatic mixer, a regulator that makes sure all water comes out at the right temperature for your safety and comfort. More advanced units may have a quick filling option. It is also important that the tub drain quickly. Seniors could catch a chill from sitting for several minutes in cool water while waiting for the water to drain. To solve this problem, many tubs offer dual drain systems or even pumps that can drain the unit in under a minute.

No matter if you would like to soak in the tub every day, or you primarily intend to take showers but would like the option for an occasional bath, walk in bathtubs make your life easy by providing maximum comfort and safety.

The What and When of Buying Organic Foods

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

The concept of organic food as well as the terminology associated with it like “natural”, “hormone free”, and “free range” was not very wide spread fifteen or twenty years ago. Most people bypassed the organic food section without even seeing it. Today the benefits of organic food are more well known and making a difference in the way people shop. They are even using what they know now in choosing restaurants and ordering meals. However, not all organic foods are created equal. This is usually made apparent by their price and how obtainable they are.

According to the U.S.D.A, in order for any food to be labeled as “USDA organic” certain standards must be met. These standards are usually related to the growing, production or manufacturing process involved. A true organic food may have no ingredients that are synthetic such as pesticides or residue of fertilizers. At least 95% of what goes into an organic food must also be organic. Animals from which products are derived must never have been given growth hormones or antibiotics. If a food is labeled “Made with Organic Ingredients”, only 70% of the ingredients must be organic.

The ideal choice for organic foods is to buy locally grown products that are handled less during the trip from field to table. Organic foods that travel long distances before you buy them can lose some of their organic benefits. Scientists recommend buying organic when purchasing foods generally found to contain higher levels of pesticides when commercially produced.

In the vegetable family, high amounts of pesticides are often found in potatoes, celery, spinach, bell peppers, and hot peppers. For fruit, the ones to watch out for are apples, peaches, strawberries, raspberries, pears, imported grapes, and cherries. In other words, although they are more a little more expensive, it is best to buy organic when shopping for these items.

Commercially grown fruits that are lower in pesticide levels are watermelons, plantains, bananas, pineapple, kiwi, plums, and mangoes. Vegetables that fall into this lower pesticide category are broccoli, cauliflower, onions, radishes, asparagus, and Brussels sprouts. These fruits and vegetables are a relatively safe option for those on a budget who can’t afford to buy organic. These products present less of a degree of risk than produce that contains higher levels of pesticides.

Searching the Internet for advice on things like what cookware is best or the best utensil or appliance to use will provide you with countless results. The Internet can also give you facts and figures about organic foods, pesticide levels, and what are the best products, but ultimately the choice of what to buy is left to the shopper’s own preferences. An informed shopper should take all of the information about organic food into account before making that choice.
