You Don’t Have To Be Fat – It’s Not Your Fault, Here’s What To Do
Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010Without a doubt the biggest health problem facing people today is obesity. Two thirds of Americans are overweight, or clinically obese, according to a recent survey. And I’m sure you know that there are an endless list of health hazards that come along with being overweight. Because they are so obvious I won’t bother to mention here.
People weren’t always overweight. A hundred years ago, people were naturally slim, and reasonably fit. Maybe a small percentage of the population had a trouble with weight, but it was much more rare back then that it is now.
One of the reasons is that we are a lot less active now than our parents and grandparents were when they were our age. Before, most people had jobs that required much more physical labor. Today, with the advent of technology, it is much easier to make a living without even breaking a sweat.
One more difference is the actual stuff we put in our mouths on a daily basis. A hundred years or so ago, most people cooked every day, and when they did, it was with stuff that was fresh. Usually bough that same day at the local grocery store.
Today, however, that is a rarity, to say the least. No matter where you look, there are opportunities everywhere for unhealthy, fatty, processed food. Even if you make to your local supermarket without being sucked into the donut shop or the burger stand, you can’t avoid processed food. Almost everything you can buy today is loaded with preservatives and chemicals.
Even if you try and go out to a “healthy” restaurant, most of the food there will be filled with junk to keep it fresh as long as possible.
Fast food is in a class all by itself. Fast food is so loaded with chemical garbage it would make a mad scientist blush. Who needs a milk shake to stay fresh for twenty years?
The trouble is that there are so many horrible food choices around us every day, it can take a heroic effort to choose only good, healthy food. And what’s worse, eating these kinds of foods only makes you want them more. It can be virtually impossible to resist.
One thing that most people don’t even know about is how this kind of eating affects your digestive tract, or your bowels. This food can leave a horrible legacy in the form of parasites that live inside you, and cause a myriad of additional health problems. The biggest of which is making it almost impossible to lose weight, even if you are exercising and eating the right food.
Fortunately, once you find out how to get rid of these parasites, and flush them out, losing weight actually becomes pretty easy. People that have done this are amazed how easily they can quickly lose weight. They also realize how rapidly they can return to a normal, happy life.
