I get cramping basically all day, all night…sleeping with a particular pair of sneakers used to help at night time a bit…in a weird sorta way…and there are certain movements i avoid doing since it’s pretty much guarranteed to cause cramps….I’ve told my doctor…i think i’ve told two docs…I’ve been told to quit smoking…I’ve had blood tests and the docs didn’t really say anything much bout the results as far as being related to the cramping. I was wondering if anyone out there has been able to experience improvement with quitting smoking and how long does it take for the improvement to happen? Thank you

I sort of unconsciously picked up smoking during a stressful point in my life, and I realize now that it’s stupid and I’ve gotten rid of my cigarettes and I’m starting tomorrow to quit. During this past month I’ve smoked somewhere between 5 and 7 cigarettes a day. I have never felt addicted, necessarily, but I know I could be once I stop. I’m just wondering how hard it’s going to be, and how long the crappy feelings are going to last. Basically, I need some motivation and reassurance.

I’m wondering if my fatigue I’ve been having these last few days is because I stopped smoking on Monday. Did anyone else have weird physical symptoms after they quit?

Really… those of you who have quit smoking, how much better do you feel all around?! Also… how long did it take you after you quit before you stopped having bad mood swings and withdrawls?

I have been smoking 20 years and I quit exactly 7 days ago. I am feeling great, but I was wondering: will I cough up anything? I have been told that most people do when they quit. That it is a form of “cleansing”. When can I expect to start this dreaded process??
