Start Living Again With Chakra Meditation

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

Meditation has been part of man’s way of life for over two thousand years. All religions out there use some form of meditation as a way to achieve a higher spiritual consciousness in ones life.

At first meditation was used mostly by religious priests, but through the years meditation has been picked up by ordinary people when they discover just how the various benefits work.

Meditation isn’t hard in fact what it is really is the simple practice of concentrating and the intense focus on sounds, objects, ideas, breathing, action or even movement that will allow you to intensify perception, cut down on stress, enhance your relaxation, and gain a personal and spiritual growth.

Meditation has been used in the past to build up a persons spiritual knowledge and even there awareness of the ultimate reality, but now it has begun to be employed by people who want to relieve stress and even pain.

Western medical practitioners are realizing that meditation has help people to cope with different health issues, so they are beginning to promote it to their patients more and more. In fact they have begun to use it along with medicines to help and relieve aches and pains for several people.

It is interesting to note that medical clinics and hospitals across the nation have been offering the practice of meditation as a possible method for patients to improve their health. Meditation is currently employed as a method for treatment of some diseases, as an additional therapeutic process for a comprehensive treatment program and as a means of improving the quality of life of people with chronic, debilitating, or incurable illnesses.

Current health care application of meditation focuses on three particular approaches: transcendental meditation, relaxation response meditation and mindfulness meditation (also referred to as mindfulness-based stress reduction).

Meditation centers on the seven major chakras, which correspond to the body’s major endocrine glands, the power and of course the environment of the universe.

If you would practice meditation for at least 30 minutes a day it will contribute to your balanced and harmonious interdependent functions of the major chakras with one another.

The energy flows from the root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown chakras while meditating your entire body’s biological, emotional and spiritual aspects will be equally nourished and balanced, while this is happening the physical, emotional, and spiritual toxins are cleansed from the body.

Since chakra meditation requires deep concentration the uninterrupted flow of energy into the body also gives a boost to the major chakras (and their corresponding endocrine counterparts).

For a clearer grasp of chakra meditation, think of it as a turbocharger for the body; a sort of catalytic converter that gathers outside energy and channels the same into useful fuel of the body’s chakra system.

Since chakras are such an essential part of our body and its metaphysical and physical manifestations, the tuning of them is very important to our everyday lives. And it will also affect our lives in directly or indirectly, emotionally, physically, intellectually and even spiritually.

As previously mentioned, there are various ways to practice chakra meditation; regardless of the methods employed the initial and basic steps are almost all the same; to achieve concentration and allowing the state of focus to spread throughout the whole body.

You will not notice an immediate change from practicing chakra meditation, but more of a gradually change that will slowly take over your thoughts to give you a more positive outlook on life. Meditation is believed to help a person live a better life and be happier both physically and emotionally.

The biggest difference that most people notice from practicing chakra meditation is their ability to concentrate better and the awareness of things around them. This benefit will be noticed in only weeks of beginning, just imagine if you’ve been doing chakra meditation for years!

Other benefits of chakra meditation are a heightened creativity, and resourcefulness is more enhanced since the perception of people is higher, and they notice more events that are happening around them. Plus with chakra meditation it is noticed that ones sleep is better and deeper. With deep sleep a person’s overall health will be improved.

With daily chakra meditation, you can willfully reduce the effect of stress (although you can do away with them) from work, family, inter-personal relations, in order to better control your emotions with patience. Besides, the ability to control stress, the number one cause of many medical problems, not only leads to a healthier lifestyle but also a more confident individual.

Normally one’s overall health is greatly improved through the practice of meditation. It will help to lower blood pressure, which in turn will reduce the risk of heart disease and strokes. Also with meditation stress of people who suffer from chronic health conditions has been lowered.

Even if you only practice meditation for half an hour daily you will be surprised on how much it will help to reduce your stress, improve your health, and just in general make your days better, and more productive.

More Chakra Balance Secrets Revealed

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

To gain an understanding of chakra balance you must first learn the general concept of chakras. Chakras are the energy centers of our bodies, they play an important role in allowing the bodies aura to breathe the ebbing flow in and out through the energy openings of our body.

Chakras associate with our mental, emotional and physical activity and one of their functions is developing the self conscious as well as revitalizing the bodies physical energy

Now how about what chakra’s look like? In most depictions you will notice a chakra is a funnel of sorts, and there are also smaller funnels within the larger funnel. Sometimes chakras have been referred to looking almost like a lotus flower.

Each individual has seven chakra centers, which associate with their own specific corresponding color. Here you will learn each chakras physical location within the body, as well as the beneficial gifts of chakra balance, the means of enhancing your life and well being by relieving a good deal of stress and anxiety that we as humans experience on a daily basis.

Starting at the base of the spine and ending at the top of the head, you will find seven chakras. The names of the chakras are the root chakra, solar plexus and heart chakras, the throat, brow or third eye and the crown chakra.

To achieve chakra balance, you should eat specific foods that encourage the grounding and revitalization of energy to your chakras. You may find this list of foods helpful for balancing your chakras.

For your root chakra you should try carrots, potatoes, parsnips, radishes, beets, garlic, eggs, meats, beans, and tofu.

Sacral chakra can be feed by melons, mangos, strawberries, almonds, honey, cinnamon and more.

The solar plexus chakra benefits by consuming such foods as milk, cheese, cereal, flax seed, mints, ginger and various others, since they are helpful for building the self esteem.

The heart chakra benefits by eating thyme, sage, spinach, basil, broccoli and green teas, since they encourage the healing of emotional upsets.

Next is your throat chakra and to help to speak truth try eating lemons, limes, kiwi, salt , lemon grass, apples, pears, and plums.

You can awaken the senses of the third eye by feeding the brow chakra with such foods as poppy seeds, lavender, red grapes, blueberries and black berries.

Finally to aid in opening, cleansing and balancing the crown chakra, you will find such incense as frankincense, copal, sage, juniper and myrrh, as they are beneficial in enhancing spiritual communications.

This of course, is a partial list of the foods, spices and drinks that are beneficial to the chakra centers, however, to gain a proper chakra balance, you must learn to focus on your own chakra centers.

Gemstones also play an important role in chakra balance, while laying a gemstone upon each chakra point. Each chakra can reach the well being of balance by leaving a gemstone on the area for at least three to five minutes, depending of course on the level of balance you feel each chakra requires. To do this, you will begin with the root chakra and work your way up the body.

You can use any kind of gemstone, but some people suggest certain gemstones for each chakra. But this list isn’t always the same for each person; you can test this out by buying a few kinds of gemstones. Once you place the gemstone on your chakra you will possibly notice a humming or a feeling that feels good if you are using the proper gemstone. If you feel a negative feeling, or just the gemstone doesn’t feel correct, do not use that gemstone for that chakra again.

After experimenting with various gemstones, you will find the perfect gemstone that feels good to you. Once you find the best gemstone for your use, you should make a list of the gemstone you use as well as the chakra you use it on. For instance, some individuals may use a lapis lazuli for the throat chakra, however if it is not comfortable for you, it is not the best gemstone to use on your chakras. You should never feel as though you have done something wrong when a recommended gemstone does not feel right for you.

A chakra balance can also be done all at once, put your gemstones on each chakra point at the same time, and then leave them on for three to 25 minutes, again depending on how much your chakra’s need to be balanced.

A new scientific development in audio technology now allows you to achieve a chakra balance just by listening to special sound frequencies.

All you need do is to listen via headphones and your chakras automatically become balanced!

Friday, January 1st, 2010

Meditation is traditionally regarded as one of the most potent forms of realizing ones spiritual being, and in the process, one can live a healthy and aware life. Different people adopt different meditation styles, but if theres one universally acceptable mode of meditation, that has to be the Chakra Meditation.

Chakra Meditation ” Basics

Quite simply, Chakra Meditation refers to the process of balancing and energizing all the 7 energy centers (Chakras) in order to align the flow of energy through them. These 7 energy centers, or the Chakras, are:

1. Crown Chakra is situated at the top of the head. It is related to the thought element, which governs our wisdom, knowledge, and consciousness.

2. Orange or Naval or Sacral Chakra located at the center of abdomen and related to the element Water. It governs our emotions and sexuality.

3. Throat Chakra is situated at the base of the throat. It is related to the Sound element, which governs our creativity, communication ability, and resonance.

4. Heart Chakra governing your general relationships, and feelings of love and compassion is located at the center of the chest and related to the element Air.

5. Power Chakra, also called the Solar Plexus, is situated just above the naval region. It is related to the Fire element, which governs our will power, metabolism, and autonomy.

6. Brow or The Third Eye Chakra located between the brows on the forehead and related to the element Light. It governs perception, interpretation, imagination, and clear vision.

7. Crown Chakra governing your wisdom and knowledge is located at the top of the head and related to the element thought.

By concentrating and synchronizing these vital energy centers, one can achieve a calming influence on the mind resulting in stress-free existence and a contented life. Chakra Meditation also helps in naturally healing any ailment related to these 7 vital energy centers.

Chakra Meditation Techniques

Chakra Meditation is the sum total of the following three techniques:

1. Grounding Technique, which aims at making the body feel connected with Earth. You just need to visualize a root growing from your body and entering into the Earth. This requires intense focus and mental presence during the act of visualization.

2. Centering Technique refers to the process whereby, your body gets prepared to receive the benefits of Chakra Meditation. The actual step involves taking 3-5 deep breaths. And visualization involves the assumption of feeling of relaxation of every body part from toe to head by tightening and relaxing each body part starting from toe, and moving in the northwards direction, till the head. The final act is the visualization of the act of centering a pot on a pottery wheel.

3. Relaxation Technique. The Relaxation Technique is the primary act in the entire Chakra Meditation process. Everyone has his or her own method of relaxation. Just find out your preferred mode of relaxing the body and stick to it. In a nutshell, Chakra Meditation is all about relaxing, visualizing, and directing the flow of energy through the seven energy centers (Chakras).

Here is one of the most common methods of performing Chakra Meditation:

a) Sit or lie down in a position that is most comfortable for your body.

b) Loosen all your clothing so that there is no tension on any part of the body, and close your eyes.

c) Take relaxing breaths ” neither too fast nor too slow. Just give up your control on the breath, and let it flow naturally.

d) Feel every part of your body from toe to the crown in that direction. Feel the earth you are lying on or the sofa you are seated on, feel the clothes you are wearing. Feel completely present with yourself and relaxed.

e) You may experience a wave of thoughts, fears, and every kind of emotion during this process. Dont avoid them! This represents the release of stress-related thoughts. With practice and regular exercise, these negative emotions and feelings will disappear.

f) Feel every subtle inner detail and let your awareness travel freely from one body part to the other.

Do this exercise for any length of time and at any time of the day!

The 7 Crucial Reiki Positions For Healing Success

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

With Reiki treatments and the proper applications of Reiki positions, the energies are balanced and a new life quality is achieved. Through all of these, the Reiki hand positions play a vital role.

When a Reiki session is performed, the Reiki positions of the hands are crucial to the treatment. If you apply the Reiki hand positions correctly and mention mentally ‘Reiki’ before you start, a feeling of heat, coldness or any other pulsation will occur. This is the sign for you or your client that the energy is flowing. You can apply Reiki either to clients, friends or family members or to yourself. It is called Self-Healing. However, if you not familiar with Reiki, I will show you how to deal with Reiki hand positions for a successful treatment.

The first Reiki hand position is placed on the face. Either yours or your client. Be sure that your palms form a cup over the eyes while the fingers are on the forehead. Apply no pressure at all but only a gentle touch.

Reiki positions that come in second include the hand on the crown on the top of the head. The hands must be on the sides of the head whereas the heels of the hands are located near the ears. Also, the fingertips must be able to touch the crown.

The back of the head is the third position. Form a cross by using your arms. One of the hands must be on the head while the other one is above the neck’s nape.

The fourth position includes the touching of the heart and collarbone. Make a V-like shape with the thumb and fingers. You must be able to easily hold your neck via the V formation. Lower one of your hands and have it resting in between the collarbone and the heart.

The fifth Reiki positions include the jaw line and the chin as well. As before, your hands form a cup and let your chin rest in it. Let your hands wrap themselves on your jaw line. The next position includes your ribs. Put your hand on the upper portion of the rib cage and provide some support to the bended elbows. The other hand should be on the abdomen. Let your fingertips touch your tummy.

The seventh Reiki positions are at your pelvic zone. Gently put your hands on your pelvic bone and allow your fingertips to touch this area.

Then the eight Reiki position involves your shoulder region. Gently bend your elbows and arms over the head and touch your shoulder blades with your hand. While your elbows are bent, put your hands onto the center part of your back. Same Reiki positions will be applied when you treat a patient.

The final position includes the lower back and the sacrum. Let your hands rest on your lower back. Lower your arms and then place them on the sacral area and then proceed to relax.

It is always the intention of a Reiki practitioner to activate the energy flow and release trapped energy pattern in a particular area through the right hand positions. Only gently pressure is applied on the areas mentioned above, but a positive feeling of peace and harmony together with the right Reiki positions do the healing.

The thing you need to understand about sleep is that it’s absolutely essential for your body, as well as your mind. If you don’t get enough sleep at night, it will affect all areas of your life. For example, you’re likely to make mistakes on the job, if you’re not well rested. The solution is to follow some simple sleeping tips, like the ones below.

Bedroom Tips:

A busy bedroom is a bad bedroom. Your bedroom should be a place of peace and tranquility. So, it’s a good idea to keep your office supplies and craft projects in another part of the house. You can’t expect to fall asleep if you’re thinking about such things, after all.

Along those same lines, you need to make sure that your bed is inviting. You should get a bed that is the right size for you, as well as the right firmness level. Some people like their mattress firm and others like it soft. If you have the wrong type for you, you won’t sleep.

Food, Drinks and Cigarettes:

Next, keep in mind that what you eat and drink can be a major factor in how you sleep. You may need to cut back on caffeine, sugar, alcohol and cigarettes, for instance. Any of those can stimulate you and make you more alert, which is not what you want at night.

Luckily, there are some foods and drinks that can help you sleep. One is turkey. Turkey contains a substance called tryptophan that can make you drowsy. Also, though, honey and warm milk are popular natural sleeping aids that you could try.

Avoid Mid-Day Naps:

Napping is another thing that you should avoid, if you want to sleep better at night. We’ve all taken a mid-day nap at one point or another. Remember, though, that napping gives your body a short rest, making it harder to sleep later on in the day.

Those tips should point you in the direction of a good night of sleep. If you want more sleeping tips, though, you don’t need to stop there. You can talk to your doctor, get recommendations from friends or do more research on your own. There are plenty of sleeping tips out there to try, after all.

Product Review Of Panasonic EP1273 Massage Chair Recliner

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

With so many massage chairs on the market, how does one navigate to find what is right for them? One effective method our past customers have told us is by comparing reviews of massage chairs. We are going to review a Panasonic massage chair which is in the mid-range level. The model is the EP1273 massage recliner. Our review process rates a massage chair in 5 key areas. Each area is worth a possible 20 points. The overall score is attained by adding up the scores in each key area for a possible score of 100 total points. We present our review of the EP-1273 by Panasonic.

Warranty Coverage … Customer Service: The first area we like to cover is the warranty coverage for massage chairs. This is an important long-term consideration. Massage chairs have many moving parts and complex electronics. You want to make sure you are adequately protected. Let us look at the warranty of the Panasonic EP-1273KL massage chair. The EP-1273 comes with the following warranty coverage: 1 year parts, 1 year labor, 1 year shipping and 1 year in-home service. This is a fair warranty for a mid-level. Although, you may want to consider getting an extended warranty for additional protection. Customer service for Panasonic is fair. Overall, we rate the warranty and customer service a 16.

Comfort … Ergonomics: We have this category because with the increasing number of features, some functions are not easily accessible or hard to reach. Also, we have tried massage chars that were simply not comfortable to sit after a few minutes. Panasonic has designed the EP 1273 to be comfortable to relax in. The materials are soft to the touch and it comes with a pillow to support your head. The remote control is laid out well and easy to understand. This model rates an 18 for this key area.

Ease of Use: Panasonic has designed a fairly intuitive and easy to use remote. Everything is labeled clearly. Adjustments can be made without having to push a number of buttons to get what you want the chair to do. Adjustments are easy to make to the chair. You can switch from automatic programs to manual programs easily. We give the EP 1273 an 18 in ease of use.

Key Features: There are number of great features with the EP 1273 massage chair recliner. The features we want to point out are the Swede-Atsu massage and the stretching function of the leg rest. The Swede-Atsu massage is a specially designed massage mechanism built into this massage chair. The Swede-Atsu replicates the hand movements of a master masseuse. This is a fabulous technology. Panasonic also incorporates a lower body stretch function. This stretching is accomplished by bring the leg rest up to a horizontal position. It then holds the feet and lowers down, stretching the legs. This is very relieving and a great way to relax after a long day. The EP1273 gets an 18 for its features.

Massage Therapy: The EP 1273 comes with the most variety of massage treatments for a massage chair in its class. You have a choice of automatic and manual programs. You can select from 4 automatic and 8 manual massage techniques. The automatic programs run the entire chair, including the air massage system. The 8 manual massage techniques are specifically for the back. Furthermore, there are 3 massage courses that target specific areas of the back. You can also vary the roller width and the intensity settings of the massages. The leg rest comes with an air compression massage for the feet and calves. This is a nice package of thorough massage therapies for a mid range massage chair. The EP-1273 is rated an 18 for massage therapy.

The Panasonic EP-1273 KL is a great value for a midrange chair. We give it an overall rating of 88 out of 100 points. We are most concerned with the short warranty for parts and labor. Otherwise, you get an excellent variety of massage treatments to choose from. The stretching function is another nice feature added into this massage recliner. The EP1273 massage chair is definitely worth checking out if you are looking at mid range massage chairs.

We put some of the main features in this product review, so check out the fantastic features and functions of the Panasonic EP-1273 Massage Chair at our site. You will find the full line of Panasonic Massage Chairs with the addition of the Real Pro Ultra series, which is the newest line by Panasonic.

Epidurals and Migraine Headache – Is There a Connection?

Friday, November 6th, 2009

I have received more than one message from clients who have claimed that they have gotten relief for their migraine headache by using my Migraine and Headache Relief program, after no other medication or remedy was able to help.

This, of course, is much appreciated feedback. Along with this response I noticed a pattern of women writing to me telling me they experienced migraine headache after receiving an epidural during childbirth.

This struck me as interesting and after much research, most evidence points to there being no link between migraine headaches and receiving an epidural.

Great, but if there’s no bridge why do so many women endure migraines after an epidural? Up to one percent of women indicate this problem. Many of these same women report having never had migraine headaches before.

It is very rare to encounter migraine headaches as an adult. Most have symptoms during late childhood or early adolescence.

What I did find in my review though is a situation known as a spinal headache. This happens when the protective layer of the brain, called the dura and spinal cord (which contains cerebrospinal fluid, or CSF) is punctured by a tiny needle in performing delivery of spinal anesthesia.

In one percent of cases, this tiny hole can allow CSF to drain enough for the brain to perceive it as pain. This headache actually has a technical term – post-dural puncture headache, or PDPH.

The signs of PDPH can include double vision, light sensitivity, hearing problems, nausea and pain or stiffness in the neck. Do any of these symptoms seem astonishingly similar to another condition?

That’s right! The headache, while not technically a migraine headache, still feels just like a headache.

This can also occur in one percent of epidural cases. While the incidence shouldn’t occur at all – there is no intentional puncture to the dura in epidurals, it can happen accidentally.

While there’s no evidence of women with a history of migraines having a higher chance of a spinal headache, it can be especially hard to determine whether or not the headache is a migraine or a spinal headache.

The usual time to heal from a spinal headache is two to four days although many women have complained of symptoms lasting for months. Again, for those who have a history of migraines, this could be a real migraine triggered by lack of sleep and stress over a new baby.

Regardless of your reason for migraine headache, I highly recommend my Migraine and Headache Relief program. It’s all natural, safe and the results are amazing!

Treatment for Toenail Fungus Fast & Easy

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Treatment for toenail fungus varies greatly. Many people suffer with a condition called toenail fungus or onychomycosis. In fact, an estimated 48% of people residing in the United States suffer with toenail fungus in at least one toe by the time they reach 70 years old.

Onychomycosis is actually quite common and the risk of developing the condition goes up according to your age. Toenail fungus is highly contagious and easily transmittable from one person to another. However there are some effective natural toenail fungus solutions for the problem.

Toenail fungus is serious and destructive to the nails and surrounding skin. It creates different problems such as disfiguration and discoloration involving the nails. Onychomycosis can even end up destroying the entire toenail. This destruction is caused by dermatophytes; which are invading fungi that thrive in a moist warm environment.

These Dermatophytes are destructive because they invade and feed on keratin which is what the hard surface of toenails is constructed from. When the toenails become infected by the fungus you will see them turn yellow or brown. These infected toenails will thicken and become malformed. The nail can become so thick that it makes it uncomfortable to wear shoes. Untreated toenails can eventually fall off which is why toenail fungus treatment is so important.

There are several factors that may contribute to the outbreak of toenail fungus. A moist warm habitat creates the perfect environment for fungal growth. The most common areas for outbreaks of onychomycosis are public gyms, shower stalls and swimming pools. This would suggest that the disease can spread easily from toe to toe and person to person.

Another contributing factor is poor hygiene. Things like not drying between the toes after bathing, wearing damp, ill- fitting shoes or dirty, damp hosiery. Even incorrect pH levels in the skin can promote the growth of toenail fungus. People with chronic ailments such as diabetes, kidney failure or HIV are considered at high risk for this problem.

Natural toenail fungus treatment is proving to be very effective. Diets that include probiotics can help keep toenail problems like this at bay. Some people choose to treat the problem with topical applications made from warm water and natural apple cider vinegar. You can also try using, oregano, olive oil or Listerine mouthwash.

A common natural toenail fungus treatment option involves using tea tree oil. This oil is one suggested by physicians and homeopathic healers because it is inexpensive and has no side effects. Tea tree oil is also known for powerful natural antifungal properties and it should be used only for topical toenail fungus treatment. It is suggested that you use 100% tea tree oil if you are going to try this solution to the problem.

The oil must be carefully applied on the surface of the toenail and any surrounding tissue which is also affected by the fungus. Make certain that this toenail fungus treatment plan includes washing your feet several times a day with a formula made from either tea tree oil soap or shampoo. When you decide to use this herbal therapeutic regimen consult your doctor first and be wary of overusing the product which can create irritation.

Stop wasting effort and discover the most effective Treatment for Toenail Fungus and kill Toe nail Fungus issues fast.
