I smoke about 12-15 sticks a day. Have been smoking since past 6 years.
Have stopped smoking at 3.30pm… its 9.30pm now, and the urge is beating on my head “bang” “bang” “bang” from “knock” “knock” “knock” a few hours ago..and my head is sometimes flashing a black and blue bolt.. which I do not know whether is related to this.. I m even having a feeling that lights around me are brighter..

I don’t feel that either cutting down or going cold turkey are effective ways of quitting smoking. Time and time again I hear stories about how people try these methods, quit for a while but eventually start up again.
These methods don’t work because they give nicotine the power, not the other way around. I am not saying these methods never work but the vast majority start smoking again.
Smoking is more of a psychological addiction than a physical one. If you really want to quit you must discover the reasons why you smoke and then eliminate or change these thought processes.
Once you deal with the psychological side of smoking it makes the quitting process easy, no matter your level of addiction. Best of all you can quit without having to resort to gums, patches or any other quit smoking product out there.
