nicotine leave the body in three days, but the withdrawl because of the psycological addiction can last longer … this is how i quit:
Quitting smoking is extremely difficult. The withdrawl makes us not want to, but we know the risks and we know that they are not worth it. For anyone who wants to end their nicotine addiction, check out www.stopsmokingcleveland.com. This is the MOST effective method on the market. It is 86% effective and the details of the program are on the website (no signing up or submitting your information).
I tried this program and it changed my life.

Although my boyfriend and I live thousands of miles apart we have managed to stay close over the past year of our seperation. He told me recently that he wants to quit smoking, and I want to help him anyway I can but I live so far away! He says that he can go a couple of days but then he gets this sudden attack and has to go out and buy a pack. Any ideas on how I can help him stop every time he gets the urge to go out and buy a pack and smoke it all at once?

Each person is different. I am also a quit smoker, lol and have been quit one time for 9 years in my thirties, at which time it took about 6 months to stop coughing up gunk. I quit again permanently in late forties and it took a lot longer that time. I have asked lots of doctors about this, because it is so annoying and disgusting and they all just look at me and say “every individual is different” it kinda makes me wanna smack ‘em, ya know???, could they not just admit they have no clue??? Lol just stay quit, eventually it will stop!

I get cramping basically all day, all night…sleeping with a particular pair of sneakers used to help at night time a bit…in a weird sorta way…and there are certain movements i avoid doing since it’s pretty much guarranteed to cause cramps….I’ve told my doctor…i think i’ve told two docs…I’ve been told to quit smoking…I’ve had blood tests and the docs didn’t really say anything much bout the results as far as being related to the cramping. I was wondering if anyone out there has been able to experience improvement with quitting smoking and how long does it take for the improvement to happen? Thank you

I used to smoke five to six a day, but after deciding I wanted to quit I could easily stick with one or two a day.
I have half a pack left, should I smoke one like every few days and less and less and ease into not smoking at all, and by the end of it only having like one drag and throwing it away
or get rid of what I have and go cold turkey?
I’m just scared that if I go cold turkey the desire for one will just get bigger and I’ll end up buying another pack if I don’t have any

I’m 20, and I was never a big cig smoker, off and on since my senior year in high school. I was however a rather large pothead. I smoked weed almost everyday to every other day for years, usually in the amount of a blunt or two a day. A blunt is anywhere from 1.0-2.0 grams of weed. I stopped smoking altogether about a month or two ago because I am going into the Navy relatively soon, I’d say about 4-6 months before I ship out for Basic Training. I have been running on a regular basis and eat well and keep hydrated and all that, but I still get winded after a mile or so of steady jogging. I can’t help but think that the damage from smoking has left me crippled in some way. I have heard that the damage will go away slowly after a few months and years, but can anyone tell me if I will be ok?! I am not an idiot, I understand that smoking in general is not healthy, my question is given the amount I have smoked, will I be ok if I keep up my running and healthy diet?

How long before the lungs are clear and my body rids me of the damage I have done to myself from smoking for 38years. When will I stop dreaming about smoking? When I wake from those dreams I am really upset with myself until I realise that it was a dream.

I smoked for 7 years since i was 13! max up to 10 a day and double-trebel that at the weekend when ive been out drinking. ive quit smoking for a month now, cold turkey i can handle the weeknights at home as no one smokes around me. but the weekend are a test for me!! i have smoked when i have been drunk, but that does not mean i havent quit smoking – i wouldnt put myself through not having one all week otherwise!
i am starting to crave fags on a weeknight, i no that i need to stop smoking when im drunk and it’ll get easier from there, but how long do i have to wait for this craving to go away!!!
