Im 19 and I have been smoke since I was 14. Im really into this one guy, but he hates that I smoke so Im trying to quit. Is it true that if you stop smoking that your lungs and body go back to normal?

I stopped smoking about 2 weeks ago. Part of the reason why I quit was because I was getting a chronic pain in the left side of my chest when I breathed. Now that I have stopped smoking the pain in my chest when I breathe seems to be getting worse. Rather then being just on the left side it is all over. I have not been coughing or anything so I know that is not the cause.
I was in the ER over the weekend for a different illness and they did a chest x-ray and said everything looked fine.
Is this just part of quitting smoking or should I be concerned?

I quit smoking 3 weeks ago and didn’t gain any weight until last week. I found it a bit odd that I gained so much weight because I’d been working out a lot. Is the weight gain due to stopping smoking? Does weight gain happen that long after quitting? Is it temporary? I don’t like that my pants won’t button.

The last time I quit smoking I coughed up blood too? This time I quit for 2 weeks without any problems till last night when I started coughing up blood, I coughed up enough to fill a small sized bathroom solo cup. I feel fine today lungs just a little irritated though.

I’ve been smoking everyday and night for about 4 years now (but I have a job and everything)
Me and my boyfriend have decided to stop smoking weed and tobacco altogether.
Has anyone done this after smoking this much and regained all your passion and emotions and brains?!
