I have not had a cigarette in 7 days. My intentions are to finally quit for good. I have been eating everything that has not run from me for the last week and can feel my size 7 frame starting to explode.
I can only assume that since I am no longer spending my time smoking that now I am trying to fill that time with eating. Anyone else out there experience this and if so how did you manage these cravings?

My grandpa is 84 years old this month and he has been smoking (cigars mostly) since he was a teenager. He saw a commercial on tv for this pill to help smokers quit. We’re trying to talk him out of buying them because the side effects may be to hard on his frail old self. He’s kinda stubborn. What can we do?

My husband has been smoking for many years and tried several ways to quit on his one, without any long term success. He has tried Nicoderm and some other over the counter stuff. Is there anything a doctor can prescribe that will help with the cravings, headaches,…?

I want to quit smoking and thoght if I am going to eat like a pig why not eat the food that would help me stop smoking.

has anyone stopped smoking with that tablet, i only really heard about it not long ago and its suppose stop the receptors or something, and you keep smoking for a bit and then just stop.??
ah what are the side affects? if any
does it work and is it expensive (not that smoking isn’t) the patches burn and the gum and lozenges give me a sore throat so i figure i might give this a go.

I love smoking but wanna quit. My lung really hurt.
Everybody seem to talk about nicotine when it come about stop smoking. But it’s not my case. For me it’s only psychological…
I go outside, it’s calm, I start smoking and look at the weather, the sun, the bird… you know… (It sound a bit little poetry but that what it is…lol)
It’s hard to explain. I just feel good, it’s like pressing “pause” in a video game while thinking to something.

I already stop smoking for about 6 month. It was just damn boring without those moment of peace. My job require that I am in front of my computer all the day… I love my job but you know…
Some people tell me like :
you can go outside and drink…
Why going outside just to drink when I can do it inside?
(By the way I can’t smoke inside) (house rule lol)

i dont think those nicorrette things work. why don’t they invent like a pill you take to make you lose your smoking cravings and make you quit?

I have made the decision to quit smoking for myself, but i’m not ready quite yet. My parents took everything away when I was caught smoking a month ago, and i never quit but they think that I did. Now i’m really ready but i cant exactly ask for their help because they would tell me to quit right away cold turkey and they would punish me also. its a catch 22. by the way im just a 16 year old guy who got addicted to cigarettes

My boyfriend (fiance) is 34 years old. We smoked pot together for the first many years of our relationship and I quit totally a couple years ago when I got pregnant with our son. He cut back quite a bit but now is back to smoking almost daily again, says he feels like I’m trying to change him, and says that I’m keeping him from doing the things he wants to do.
I have been on his case more to get into gear. I myself stopped smoking cigarettes and weed and have gone back to school for nursing. I’m now 29 and a mother and am more motivated than ever to make myself the best I can be, as an example, for my son.
My fiance doesn’t seem interested in ever smoking marijuana, resents that I’m asking him to, complains he doesn’t get enough time to himself to do things like off-roading and golfing, and hasn’t yet followed through on getting his GED. I just want him to have more options if ever he lost his job.
Am I being unreasonable? I just want what’s best for the family and my son.
