my doctor has prescribed me wellbutrin (bupropion) to try to quit smoking. i have read it is for depression as well, my question is..if im not depressed and take this medicine will it make me all “crazy”..im just curious b/c i have read the side effects on it and just curious if anyone has taken this as well to stop smoking that didnt have depression..any feedback will be great! i start tomorrow morning.

I went to the Dr yesterday and I mentioned that I was thinking about quitting smoking. I’m not a heavy smoker. She said that Wellbutrin would probably be the best for me. I always thought of that as mostly an antidepressant. She said that it was made to be an antidepressant and people were just giving up their smoking habits on it so now it’s also being used as an anti smoking medicine. I am just wondering what side effects people have had on it and if they have had any when getting off of it. I’m on 150mg once a day, and so far it has just made me NOT hungry. For some reason, if I don’t make myself eat, I feel like I could just not eat for days and not be hungry at all. Is it normal for it to be a major appetite suppressant?

i want to quit smoking but of course don’t want to gain any weight. i heard wellbutrin helps you to loose weight. i also get anxiety attacks and have tried a few of the anti-depression drugs that are out there. what’s good?

My doctor prescribed me wellbutrin to quit smoking. Has anyone taken this while pregnant? It is 150mg is that safe while pregnant? Just want to talk to others that have taken it or know a sight I can go to to find out more info. Thank you.
